Laser TEAM (Character Program) Assembly
Laser TEAM is a completely novel approach to character building and enrichment. The program is a live presentation that focuses on teamwork and the personal character attributes essential to teamwork: self-discipline, tolerance of others, and mutual respect. Students will learn the importance of communication through a host of fun, interactive games and demonstrations that reinforce the character theme.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest
RMMS is sponsoring a speech contest in memory of Dr. King. Participants must write a one-page essay in response to ONE of the following prompts: 1) Where do we go from here? Chaos or community? 2) Dr. King said, "Life's most urgent question is what are you doing for others?" and 3) "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter." All RMMS students without any NP's are eligible to enter. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a shopping spree in the SMART Shop! Let Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream inspire you!

America I Am
All RMMS students will visit the California Science Center in February to explore America I Am: The African American Imprint. The exhibit traces the imprint African Americans have made on America despite their political, economic and racial struggles. Interested in attending? Chaperones are needed and will earn community service hours. Dates are Feb. 10 (6th grade), Feb. 17 (7th grade), and Feb. 24 (8th grade). Hope you can make it!
